Dr Thembisile Xulu (MBChB (UKZN), Dip Obst (SA), Dip HIV Man (SA), MPH (Wits) was awarded the World Fellow honour by Yale University in 2010 – a global leadership development initiative. Dr. Xulu has steadily risen through the ranks, from Expert Treatment Manager for Right to Care in 2004, to the Board of Directors in 2007 when she was placed in charge of clinical programmes. Four years later in 2011 Dr. Xulu was appointed Managing Director of Right Health, and chosen to be Chief of Party for EQUIP in 2015.

Deputy Chief of Party, EQUIP

Before joining EQUIP as Deputy Chief of Party, Dr Ntombi Mhlongo-Sigwebela (MBBcH, Dip HSM) served in TB and HIV programme management in both the private and public health sector for over 10 years. She also worked as director of the TASC II TB Project before becoming Chief of Party for the USAID TB Program in South Africa. Dr Sigwebela was director of Aquity Innovations, a local entity of University Research (URC).  Her experience includes 14 years’ experience implementing donor funded projects (USAID, CDC, The Union, WHO and The World Bank) in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
