World AIDS Day is an opportunity to show solidarity with the millions of people living with HIV worldwide. Raymond Chalwe from Zambia, an EQUIP-supported country, tested positive for HIV on 29 August 2017 and started treatment on 7 September after not feeling well for three months.
At first after beginning antiretroviral therapy (ART), Raymond said he had “bad dreams and felt dizzy” but is no longer experiencing these symptoms.
As a former security guard, Raymond hopes his health will recover so that he can return to work in order to provide for his young family – his wife and two girls of 4 and 18 months.
“I want to congratulate the people of America and please tell them to continue the good job!”
