The Centre for Global Health & Development (CGHD) at Boston University is a multidisciplinary research centre that engages faculty from across the University to help solve the critical global health and social development challenges of our time. The mission of the centre is not only to conduct high-quality applied research, but also to advocate for the use of this research to improve the health of underserved populations around the world.


The Health Economics and Epidemiology Research Office (HE²RO) is a division of the Wits Health Consortium of the University of the Witwatersrand. Its purpose is to conduct applied, policy- and program-relevant research and evaluation on issues of public health importance in South Africa. HE²RO focuses on understanding the economic and epidemiological consequences of the HIV and TB epidemics and the effectiveness, benefits, and costs of interventions.
